If it’s Wednesday, it’s time for our weekly Hump Day Hiatus, a refreshing break designed to get you over the hump and keep you going strong all week. Some HDHs are funny, some are soothing, some are invigorating. All are a bit of an escape. Last week: the Golden Gate Bridge. The week before that, Yosemite. Before that, a surfing double shot. This week we’re going to Paris. On a bicycle, no less. Nice scenery. Great music. The guy on the bike does stuff that is pretty cool too, but hardly anyone seems to give him a second glance. We’re noticing, though. [full screen is good]

Very cool video. Highly impressed by both the rider and the director of the video. One thing that was disturbing was the way he left his son at the bakery. Why would he do that? Did he trade his son for cookies? Is the son forced to work slaving over hot ovens all day just so the father can afford to do nothing but ride his bike all day? Is there confusion in the child/parent relationship, something akin to a “Freaky Friday” situation?
So, yes. This video made me laugh and it made me cry. Kudos to you, Alain! But at least try to go back and visit your son at the bakery every now and then.
