Yes, here it is already, Hump Day for the week of November 4, 2012. That means it’s time to take a short break and recharge our batteries for the remainder of the week with a mini-vacation. Last week our destination was Ho Chi Minh City, and in previous weeks we’ve gone to Malaysia, Lake Tahoe, Tasmania, the Grand Canyon, and Singapore, among other places. This time let’s not travel geographically. Let’s dust off the old time machine and travel back in time. Not too far. Let’s visit drive-in movies, records, malt shops, 8-track tapes, skinny dipping, Polaroids, transistor radios, station wagons and Buddy Holly. Kids, this is all the stuff you missed by not being around in the Fifties and Sixties. Life was swell. This is our first use of time travel in the Hump Day Hiatus, and our first music video: Springtime Carnivore by the Collectors.
