I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the major advertisers in Augusta’s healthcare market for their support of the Medical Examiner. These are organizations – University Health System, GRU-slash-MCG, Doctors Hospital, Trinity Hospital and others – with HUGE advertising budgets. They’re in the Chronicle almost daily, in Augusta Magazine and Columbia County Magazine, in the Metro Spirit, Augusta Family, Skirt, Parent, on TV, on the radio, and on billboards all over town.
Yes, I’d like to take this opportunity. I wish I could take this opportunity. It would be nice if I could take this opportunity.
Alas, Augusta’s only independent publication dedicated solely to topics of health, wellness and medicine gets virtually no advertising support from the big players. Do not adjust your screen: Augusta’s Most Salubrious Newspaper gets no ads from the biggest players in the fields of health and wellness. The one publication whose every reader is, by definition, interested in health, gets no advertising from the top healthcare providers.
It’s kinda funny, isn’t it? The sublime beauty of it all: laughter is the best medicine.
