Have you seen this PSA? It’s one of a potent series about texting and driving sponsored by AT&T called It Can Wait. If you’re thinking texting and driving is illegal in Georgia, you’re right. But so is speeding, and that fact hasn’t exactly eliminated speeding, has it? The message about the dangers of texting and driving needs to be told over and over. And please remember: it’s just as negligent and distracting to read an incoming text while driving as it is to send one.
Whatever your age, I hope you’ll watch both of these. And if you’re a parent with teenage drivers, make sure they watch these too. It could save lives. For something that important, it can’t wait.
