As September and Childhood Obesity Awareness Month continues, one oft-heard comment is that nutritious food is too expensive; people living with economic adversity are forced to buy Coke instead of milk or juice; french fries are cheaper than potatoes, etc. In rebuttal, feast your eyes upon the following illustrations. Their date of origin is unknown, so the prices may be last year’s, or five years old. But it’s a safe bet the prices have changed on both sides of the equation, not just one. The proof stands.
