Some friends of mine have been planning a fall New England leaf-freak trip for months. They’ll be in Boston tomorrow and from there driving up to Maine. One of their scheduled stops was going to be Maine’s spectacular Acadia National Park. But as of today, the park is shut down because of budget gridlock in Washington.
It makes me wonder: How can a forest be closed? How can they shut down waves crashing against a rugged and rocky coastline? Is Old Faithful stopped too? And then I saw this. Yesterday… wait for it… and today. Unbelievable.
