There are four calendars on the wall near my desk. Two of them say today is the first day of autumn, and the other two say tomorrow is. Either way, I love fall. I’ve got nothing against the other seasons. There is something about summertime that demands to be celebrated, even though I despise hot weather, especially hot and humid weather. Spring is a celebration, no doubt about it. Winter has a special and unique appeal all its own. But fall is my favorite season. And it’s here. Have a nice fall! No, wait. Don’t do that. Correction: have a nice autumn.
