Halloween Safety Alert

Personally, the Medical Examiner is not a fan of Halloween. Why? Well, aside from the fact that it celebrates all things ghoulish and demonic (as well as being fattening and promoting tooth decay), Halloween, like a number of other holidays, tends to bring out the worst in people. Why else would hospitals announce every year that they will x-ray candy for free? And lest you think that they’re being overly cautious, we checked with area hospitals and they showed us a few of the lethal items found in candy last year. Folks, is it worth it?
