Remember back in your college days or early singlehood when everything you owned would fit in your hippie van with room to spare? As the years slide by, we accumulate lots of things. The closets are full. Under the bed is full. There is no longer room to park the car in the garage. The storage unit(s) are full. And on board we have spare tires and other assorted poundage. People with less – much, much less – are just as happy, if not happier, than people with lots of stuff. The secret to happiness does not lie in anything we can buy. And if it did, we couldn’t afford it anyway. The price would be astronomical.
