Friends of the Medical Examiner Michael Wolff and Janis Ann Parks have teamed up to take a unique trip through the pages of Augusta’s medical history. Wolff is the entrepreneur behind Augusta Ghost Trolley, tours that began in October of 2011, offered every Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 and 9 pm departing from the Augusta Museum of History. Tonight’s tour includes special guest Janis Parks, author of Gravely Mistaken, a look back at the days of grave robbing in Augusta. The practice was used to obtain cadavers to train medical students at the Medical College of Georgia. It promises to be a fascinating evening. Get on board! If tonight’s tour is full, here’s a little known fact: People think these tours are just held in the general vicinity of Halloween, but they’re conducted year-round.
