The PSA of the Week

The federal Civil Rights Act of 1964 made discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin illegal. Do you think it ended prejudice? Not hardly. It just made it illegal.

Fast forward a few decades. Recent laws enacted in Georgia and elsewhere have made texting while driving illegal. Do you think the practice has stopped? Of course not. It’s just illegal. It was foolhardy already. Now it’s also illegal. Hence this week’s Public Service Announcement is still, unfortunately, quite appropriate.
