Hump Day Hiatus #37

This is a day in many places of solemn ceremony and remembrance of the thousands upon thousands of lives lost to terrorism, and untold thousands more that will carry the scars of September 11 forever.

It is sometimes all too easy to focus on the negative; there is so much of it. Today’s Hump Day Hiatus is a dazzling reminder of the sublime beauty of our Earth and life upon it. We cannot turn a blind eye to poverty, crime, disease and death, but neither should we ever lose sight of the opposites, the good things that surround us and make life a joy even in a world beset by thorny problems. It is in that spirit that this Hiatus is offered. Close the curtains. Dim the lights. Click play and full screen and let these soothing scenes wash over you.
