Today’s therapy session is of recent vintage: Zac Brown teaming up with Foo Fighters on The Letterman Show from earlier this week. Then again, it’s a vintage performance, since it covers War Pigs, a Black Sabbath song from their 1970 album Paranoid. If I hadn’t told you that, you would still detect the distinct flavor of the anti-war era. These days, Ozzy Osborne can’t totter around a stage too much: he needs to stay fairly close to the teleprompter if he intends to mumble the lyrics with any accuracy. But here’s a new take on an Ozzy song that still has a message to deliver nearly 45 years after its debut.
