Dr. Ricardo D'Azziz
Thank you to the thousands of Augustans and people around Georgia and the nation who submitted suggestions for the former Dr. Ricardo Azziz. The top names submitted were added to the names our Blue Ribbon Steering Committee presented, and to those the national consulting firm we spared no expense to hire provided. We discarded all those names, of course. That’s how things like this are done. For the record, Dr. D’Azziz says he does not like this name. But since when does the opinion of the recipient of a new name matter? The namer has all power; the namee has none. Again, that’s just the way these things work.
