PSA(s) of the Week

Today is a PSA Twofer Tuesday on the theme “Convincing Evidence.”

With the Columbia County Fair going on right now through Nov. 9, we thought it would be appropriate to issue a warning about cotton candy. Many people eat cotton candy at fairs without ever realizing where it comes from. People, the camera does not lie, and it’s not pretty.

On a vastly more serious note, for the few remaining drivers who aren’t in the habit of wearing seatbelts, the second video should be all the evidence you need to put an end to that life-threatening lapse. You are a dying breed. Literally. These five dummies are all ejected (did you see the first one to leave the vehicle? Serious air.) Probably all were killed or seriously injured. These dummies died so you don’t have to. They sacrificed their lives to show you what can happen when the unexpected happens. Don’t let their deaths and injuries be in vain. BUCKLE UP. EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE. EVERY TIME YOU’RE A PASSENGER. ALWAYS.
